The Representative Office of Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) in Türkiye, in collaboration with Absheron Hotel Group (AHG), organized a familiarization trip for representatives of Türkiye’s MICE tourism sector from 9 to 12 July.
The program brought together 10 leading representatives of Türkiye’s MICE tourism sector, providing them with first-hand insight into Azerbaijan’s growing capabilities as a destination for MICE, while showcasing its rich cultural heritage, hospitality offerings, and culinary traditions.
The trip included visits to Baku’s modern event venues, internationally recognized hotels and key cultural attractions, offering participants a comprehensive overview of the country’s strong position as a premier destination for conferences, corporate meetings, incentive travel programs, and large-scale events.
As part of the program, a dedicated B2B networking event was organized, bringing together more than 60 tourism industry representatives. The meetings provided a valuable platform for developing new business opportunities and strengthening professional relationships between industry stakeholders.
By facilitating meaningful connections among tourism professionals, the initiative contributed to strengthening tourism ties between Azerbaijan and Türkiye, while also laying the groundwork for future partnerships and business growth within the MICE sector.
