Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), together with three local tourism industry partners, presented the destination's tourism potential through a series of roadshow events across Southeast Asia.
The events were held in Jakarta on 18 September, Kuala Lumpur on 21 September and Singapore on 23 September, bringing together 220 representatives from the tourism industry across the three cities, including MICE companies, leading outbound tour operators, travel agencies and airlines.
The initiative aimed to promote Azerbaijan as a destination in Southeast Asia and expand cooperation with tourism industry professionals in the region. Azerbaijan was highlighted as an attractive destination to complement an “Umrah Plus” journey, offering visitors the opportunity to extend their trip with a stay in the country and discover its rich cultural heritage, local experiences, shopping and leisure offerings.
The events in Jakarta and Kuala Lumpur were attended by H.E. Mr. Ramil Abil Rzayev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Indonesia, and H.E. Mr. Khazar Farhadov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Malaysia.
B2B meetings held throughout the roadshow brought together Azerbaijani tourism partners and local industry representatives to explore cooperation and partnership opportunities and develop new business connections.
