Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), together with 5 tourism industry partners, including Shahdag Mountain Resort and Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL), promoted Azerbaijan as a year-round travel destination at Pakistan Travel Mart (PTM) 2026, held from 3-5 April in Karachi. The destination promotion continues during the PTM Roadshow, which take place from 7-8 April in Islamabad.
The events held in both cities served as strategic platforms to strengthen Azerbaijan’s presence in the Pakistani outbound travel market, deepen bilateral tourism ties and exchange key market insights.
Through events Azerbaijani delegation presented the country’s diverse tourism offerings, spanning leisure and luxury, as well as adventure and cultural experiences. Each event featured engaging destination presentations alongside targeted B2B workshops, providing participants with valuable opportunities to explore and strengthen potential partnerships.
Travel to Azerbaijan has also been made increasingly accessible for Pakistani travelers, with direct flights from Lahore and Islamabad to Baku by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) and Pakistan International Airlines (PIA). Pakistani citizens could apply for an e-VISA through evisa.gov.az 3 working days before their planned arrival date, or opted for an urgent visa, which was processed within 3 hours. The visa is valid for 90 days, during which Pakistani travelers could visit Azerbaijan for up to 30 days at a time.
Reflecting the ease of accessibility, the number of visitors from Pakistan increased by nearly 13% in 2025 compared to the same period in 2024.
