The State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan and Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) are represented at the Azerbaijan pavilion opened at the “Urban Expo” exhibition, held within the framework of the 13th session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13).
The national stand at the Azerbaijan pavilion provides visitors with detailed information on the country’s tourism potential, including cultural experiences, scenic hiking routes, winter tourism opportunities, and travel experiences along the “Victory Road” route.
Tourist Information Center is also operating at the pavilion, providing visitors with information on various tourism routes as well as sites and regions with high tourism potential.
Within the exhibition, visitors were able to immerse themselves in the country’s rich cultural heritage, breathtaking landscapes, and wide range of tourism opportunities through virtual reality (VR) technology. At the same time, masterclasses led by Tofig Rasulov, a traditional shabaka craftsman from Shaki, offer participants the opportunity to explore the fundamentals of the shabaka art up close.
The informative session showcasing Azerbaijan’s rich tea culture is held for visitors, followed by a tasting of national sweets such as shekerbura and pakhlava, accompanied by traditional local tea.
In addition, informative sessions promoting birdwatching tourism are organized for visitors, providing detailed insights into Azerbaijan’s ecological diversity, bird species, protected areas, and national parks.
Informative sessions dedicated to Azerbaijan’s tourism potential will continue throughout the event.
