Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), together with 10 tourism industry representatives participated in the “China–Azerbaijan Tourism Dialogue”, organized by the Bureau of International Exchanges and Cooperation, Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, and the World Tourism Alliance, on 3 June 2026.
The event brought together representatives of public and private tourism institutions from both countries, officials of international organizations, and leading tourism industry experts.
As part of this event aimed at implementing the cooperation agreements reached between China and Azerbaijan and further strengthening tourism relations, Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings, rich cultural heritage, as well as its recreational and health tourism potential were presented to a broader audience. Cooperation opportunities for establishing new partnerships with China’s leading tourism platforms and member organizations of the Alliance were also discussed.
Tourism relations between Azerbaijan and China continue to develop dynamically, and such joint initiatives create new prospects for tourism industry stakeholders in both countries.
During January-April 2026, the number of visitors from China increased by nearly 9.5% compared to the same period in 2025, reaching 14,303 visitors, indicating a positive growth trajectory.
