Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) organized a familiarization trip to Azerbaijan for representatives of 10 leading travel companies from Pakistan from June 7 to 13.
The initiative aimed to provide participants with firsthand experience of Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings, key destination products, and hospitality services. During the visit, the delegation explored Baku, Shabran, Guba, and Gusar, discovering the country's rich cultural heritage, natural attractions, and wide range of leisure opportunities
As part of the program, a B2B networking event was organized on June 12, bringing together representatives of the visiting Pakistani travel companies and nearly 50 representatives of Azerbaijan’s tourism industry.
Enhanced air connectivity continues to strengthen tourism cooperation between Azerbaijan and Pakistan. Direct flights operated by Azerbaijan Airlines (AZAL) from Lahore and Islamabad to Baku, alongside services offered by Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) and the recently introduced Airblue route from Lahore, provide seamless travel opportunities and support the continued growth of visitor flows between the two countries.
Pakistani citizens could apply for an e-VISA through evisa.gov.az 3 working days before their planned arrival date, or opted for an urgent visa, which was processed within 3 hours. The visa is valid for 90 days, during which Pakistani travelers could visit Azerbaijan for up to 30 days at a time.
