On 30th July, Mr. Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB), held a meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Azerbaijan to Vietnam, a delegation from Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism, and representatives of Vietnam’s tourism industry.
The meeting focused on promoting mutual tourist flows between Azerbaijan and Vietnam, strengthening Azerbaijan’s presence in the Vietnamese tourism market, and exploring opportunities for cooperation in tourism education. The development and promotion of joint tourism routes covering Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries for Vietnamese travellers were also discussed. It was noted that such routes could contribute to presenting the region as an integrated tourism product and increasing tourist flows from Asian markets.
As part of cooperation in tourism education, the participants explored opportunities for experience exchange, academic cooperation and joint educational initiatives between Hanoi College of Commerce and Tourism, the Tourism and Management University under the State Tourism Agency of the Republic of Azerbaijan, and tourism-focused colleges.
