Azerbaijan’s business tourism potential is promoted in Moscow

Azerbaijan's flourishing business tourism sector is in the spotlight at the "MICE4U" event, which took place in Moscow, Russian Federation on the 11th of September.

During the B2B meetings with leading Russian business tourism experts and agencies, Azerbaijan Tourism Board representative highlighted country’s exceptional infrastructure for hosting business events and its broader tourism potential. The primary goal of participating in "MICE4U" is to position Azerbaijan as a premier global destination for business events, forge new partnerships, and enhance collaborative research initiatives. This engagement aims to increase tourist flows between Russia and Azerbaijan and deepen the business tourism relationship between two countries.

Notably, from January to August 2024, Azerbaijan welcomed 501,417 visitors from Russia, marking an over 18% increase compared to the same period in 2023, with 426,177 Russian tourists. With the growing interest from Russia, this event represented a significant opportunity to strengthen Azerbaijan’s tourism ties and showcased its vibrant offerings.
