Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) participates in one of the Americas' most important tourism stages at “Tianguis Turistico Mexico 2026” from 27-30 April in Acapulco, Mexico.
During the visit, Mr. Florian Sengstschmid, CEO of Azerbaijan Tourism Board, held bilateral meetings with Mr. Miguel Aguiñiga Rodríguez, Head of Promotion, Innovation, Sustainability and Tourism Professionalization of the Secretariat of Tourism of the Mexican Government, and Mr. Juan Carlos Arnau Avila, Vice President of International Affairs of FEMATUR, the Mexican Federation of Tourism Associations. Further meetings with tourism industry representatives, airlines, and international organisations focused on exploring opportunities to strengthen tourism cooperation between Mexico and Azerbaijan.
On 29 April, the National Association of Mexican World Heritage Cities hosted a dedicated event within Tianguis Turístico, during which ATB representative delivered a presentation on the country's rich history, culture, and diverse tourism offerings to an engaged international audience.
Now in its landmark 50th edition, “Tianguis Turistico” is one of the principal tourism events in Mexico and the wider Americas, bringing together industry leaders, government bodies, airlines, and international organisations to shape the future of global travel.
ATB's presence at the event reflects a continued commitment to expanding international connections and strengthening the country's profile as a leading destination, remaining focused on building partnerships that will open new opportunities for the country and for visitors who are yet to discover everything Azerbaijan has to offer.
