Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) presented the country’s rich gastronomic heritage, local products, and tourism potential at the "Baku International Carpet Festival 2026" held in Baku’s Old City from 1-3 May.
The festival brought together local farmers and producers who showcased a wide range of products from various regions of Azerbaijan, reflecting the country’s rich biodiversity and diverse culinary traditions. The event also served to support local producers and farmers while highlighting Azerbaijan’s gastronomic tourism potential to visitors.
Participants were able to access ATB’s tourist information center, where the Board’s representatives provided information on Azerbaijan’s diverse tourism offerings and various tourism routes, while also distributing booklets, maps, and other promotional materials.
Visitors also had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the country’s rich cultural heritage, city break experiences, and breathtaking landscapes through virtual reality (VR) technology. The experience was further enriched by tastings of traditional Azerbaijani sweets, offering an introduction to the nation’s culture and traditions.
