Azerbaijan Tourism Board (ATB) held meetings with HotellerieSuisse in Bern, Switzerland, from 22 to 26 June. The visit aimed to gain insights into the approaches and methodologies used in Switzerland for the classification and quality assessment of alternative accommodation establishments.
As one of Switzerland’s leading professional associations in the hospitality and accommodation sector, HotellerieSuisse presented its classification system, quality standards and assessment criteria for alternative accommodation establishments.
Meetings were also held with the Swiss Mountain Guides Association (SBV) to discuss potential future cooperation and exchange best practices in the field of mountain guiding standards, training and certification.
The visit provided an opportunity to exchange views on international practices and their relevance to the Azerbaijani tourism sector, contributing to ongoing efforts to strengthen quality standards for alternative accommodation and support the development of the sector in Azerbaijan.
